Detailed description:
If you're passionate about sports and adventure, we invite you to join our challenging high-altitude training camp in Vallecitos. Located in the Cordillera de Los Andes, 80km from the city of Mendoza, this place at 3000m above sea level has numerous hills and the imposing Cerro Plata of more than 980m, which gives its name to the range.
What is high-altitude training? This sports practice is gaining more and more followers around the world. Training in a high-altitude area with low oxygen concentration can improve your performance when you return to sea level, especially in endurance sports.
Why choose Vallecitos? In addition to being located in a Provincial Park, it has a refuge system at 3000m above sea level and a rescue patrol always available, making it a very safe place to train and venture into the world of High Mountain.
At Wanako Travel & Running, we want to provide you with the necessary tools to move safely in this place, with an emphasis on safety as the main focus. Together with Refugio La Roca, we invite you to enjoy three days of training, where we will provide you with the aforementioned safety tools and you can enjoy the hospitality of our refuge, share talks, experiences, and some beer.
The training will be led by professional guides, mountain runners, sports and nature lovers, and will be divided into two parts: a theoretical section, where we will emphasize safety, and the most fun part, running through the mountain. Join us and experience high-altitude training in Vallecitos!
